CSQA- Eurepgap Logo
The Eurepgap Standard defines Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) in the production of fruit and vegetables.
Key requirements
The protocol provides for the management of requirements concerning:
• Traceability;
• Environmental aspects
• Product
• Health and safety of the workers and their working conditions
• Elements concerning corporate management
Single farms, cooperatives or associations of farms may adhere thereto.
Certification process
For the organic production the firms controlled by ICEA can apply for CSQA certification according to the EurepGap standard, by contacting directly ICEA’s Operative Structures. The procedure will be as follow:
1. formulation of an economic proposal
2. signing of a certification contract
3. evaluation of the documentation sent by the Applicant and assignment of the Eurepgap registration number
4. evaluation visit to the Firm by experts of that specific sector
5. issuance of the conformity certificate by CSQA.
Accreditations
CSQA is recognized by Eurep and accredited by Sincert for certification according to the Eurepgap standards.
The Eurepgap product certification represents a tool of competitive advantage, first of all in Business to Business relations.
To date, the number of fruit and vegetables operators interested in applying of Eurepgap standard is increasing.
Organic fruits and vegetables production chains, are in fact, progressively more integrated with “large scale” and international retailers, who also demand additional guarantees for organic productions compared to those provided for by the European organic rules.
