EXPORT OF ORGANIC PRODUCTS TO BRAZIL
The national Brazilian standard for organic farming entered into force from the first of January 2011.
Companies that want to export organic products to Brazil must be conforming to this regulation (IN 46).
Is a regulation that cover the whole production chain, so all parties involved in the production process must be checked and certified, from the farmer to the exporter.
ICEA has an agreement with the Brazilian control body IBD, and so is able to give a control and certification service to operators that require conformity to this standard.
To request a certification for the Brazilian standard is necessary to fill request of cost estimation and, after accepting it, sign the contract with IBD control body that is responsible for certification. ICEA personnel will carry out inspections on the field.
