Companies residing outside the European Union that want to export their certified organic products to the EU must be certified by Organic Control Bodies in equivalence with EC Reg. 834/07 and EC Reg. 889/08.
These control bodies are recognized by country of activity and by product category (fresh products, processed food, etc.).
The complete and updated list of the authorized Control Bodies can be checked on http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legalcontent/EN/TXT/?qid=1467117079088&uri=CELEX:02008R1235-20160407
ICEA was among the first Control Bodies to be recognized, and works in the specified countries with local personnel, giving a fast and reliable service.
ICEA is referring to a IACB standard (International Accredited Certification Bodies), equivalent to abovementioned EU standards, created by a group of Control Bodies that are active on the international level and are accredited by IOAS (International Organic Accreditation Service), an US accreditation body recognized at international level.
The list is automatically updated following Icea Certification Committee decisions.
