Training for foreign certification, promotion of “Sacchetico”, and launch of BIOL Prize 2011 with the presentation of its last catalogue: these are the important events of the participation of Icea, the main Italian organic control body and among most important in Europe, for next Biofach appointment, that’ll take place in Nuremberg from 16th to 19th of February.
At the international exhibition the Ethical and Environmental Certification Institute will be present at Hall 4 with two stands, 410 (180m2) and 514 (72m2), that will host also sixteen top of the line organic food companies; it will be present also at Vivaness, the exhibition of natural cosmetics and wellness, with other two stands in Hall 7: 121 (96m2) and - together with Novamont - 120 (84m2): also in this case hosting around ten companies, mainly cosmetics producers.
These spaces will be used, as we mention, for this year initiatives, starting with no food training for the inspectors operating abroad, in particular in Turkey, Mexico, India, China and Romania.
With its partner Novamont, an Italian company leading the sector of bioplastic, its programmed the promotion of “Sacchetico”, biodegradable and compostable shopping bag, that can be reused in recycling, made of Mater-Bi®, bioplastic patented by Novamont, made with renewable agricultural  resources that have resistance and characteristics completely similar to the ones of traditional plastics.
Space will be given also to BIOL Prize, the main world event for organic olive oil producers promoted by Icea, that will hold its sixteenth edition in Andria (Apulia) from the 26th of April to the 1st of May 2011. While launching the new edition – divided among different events, such as the awards, studies and publications, gastronomy and culture – BIOL (www.premiobiol.it) will present also the new 2010 catalogue, a reliable map of world organic olive production.
