ICEA has been operating for years in the Republic of Moldova, and is the only certification body accredited in the country for organic agriculture. So no wonder if it was among participants to Food & Drinks and Food Technology Fair in Chisinau.
The Ethical and Environmental Certification Institute confirms itself as the landmark for the locals and foreigners firms. The Moldavian Vice-Minister of Agriculture, Spivacenco, in his opening speech has pointed out the importance of the organic productions in Moldova, confirming the support of the Ministry for its development.
The fair, where important Italian food industry firms have participated (Felinese, Auricchio, Traversetolese, and Ceci among the others), has been inaugurated by the Italian Vice-Minister for Foreign Trade, Adolfo Urso, together with the Moldavian Vice-Ministers of Agriculture and Economy.
In presence of the Italian Ambassador in Moldova, Stefano De Leo, have been introduced the projects of Italian firms in Moldova and many typical products, gaining a large success.
During the fair a forum has taken place where new opportunities have been shown for the firms intending to invest in the country, and new Italian services in Moldova, like ICE’s (Italian Trade Commission) office and the finance companies Simest and Finest, supporting internationalization processes.
In this context has been confirmed the strategic role of the Republic of Moldova as a clasp and a bridge both on political and economic level between Eastern EU and Russia, in particular concerning food products, as well as the importance of certification as a tool to guarantee and valorise quality production.
