Icea goes on the path of responsible tourism. Ethical and Environmental Certification Institute is now a member of AITR (Italian Association for Responsible Tourism) that operates to promote, qualify, communicate, research, update, and safeguard cultural contents and following practical actions related to the definition “Responsible Tourism”. Moreover, Icea decided also to support the  constitution of EARTH (European Alliance for Responsible Tourism and Hospitality), formally created on the 16th of October in Brussels, that will favour the net work among operators of the sector and will sensitize also the general public through campaigns to promote an alternative tourism, respectful of nature and of the culture of the visited sites.  Members are 25, among which 15 Italians, and of these 13 are AITR members: AITR itself, CTS, Borghi Autentici d’Italia; Legacoop, Viaggi Solidali, ICEI, COSPE, Intervita, ICEA, RAM, Lo Spirito del Pianeta, Planet, and Terredimezzo; the other two are Ermes and Paralleli.
Spanish ones are five: Sociedad Española de Ecoturismo, Clima, Koan, Ismalar, and Quidamtur
For France there is ATES, for Germany Kate, for Belgium Tourisme Autrement and Diesis, and for the United Kingdom Tourism Concern.
The board is made up by Jean Marc Mignon (ATES), Jose Maria de Juan Alonso (Sociedad Española de Ecoturismo), Micaela Solinas (CTS), Stefano Lucchini (Borghi Autentici d’Italia), Luca Pastorelli (Diesis), Angela Giraldo (Kate), and by Maurizio Diavolio of Legacoop for AITR in the role of president.
