Detergents

Certification to ICEA “Clean Cleaners” Standard  “AIAB Clean Cleaners” is a voluntary product certification issued by ICEA after verifying the conformity of detergents and their production processes to the requirements laid down in the relevant ECOBIO Cleaning product standard of Associazione Italiana per l'Agricoltura Biologica .   In an effort to regulate this sector, AIAB and ICEA prepared a standard that was approved by the parties interested in the production, marketing and consumption of detergents.   The main purpose of this standard is to ensure that: no environment-unfriendly substances are used for the production of detergents and their containers; no raw materials of non-agricultural origin considered at risk, or unsafe to man and environment, or causing allergies, are used; containers are either from renewable sources or made of recyclable materials or under a returnable containers program; the products are as effective as high-quality conventional products.    As done for cosmetics, a workshop coordinated by AIAB has been established for detergents, with the participation of authoritative members of the academic and scientific world (School of Cosmetology of the University of Ferrara, Department of Pharmacology of the University of Pavia) who periodically review the standards.   The operators interested in this certification must apply to ICEA National Office, and sign the appropriate Eco Bio Cleaning certification regulation and List of Fees.   ICEA makes available to operators not only the list of certified products and producers, but also the list of ingredients for every product.  Download: List of applicants Responsible person: Alessandro Spadoni, cosmetici@icea.info
