ICEA has entered into an agreement with C.I.S.E. (Centro per l’Innovazione e lo Sviluppo Economico – a special enterprise of the Chamber of Commerce of Forlì-Cesena) for active collaboration in the Ethical Work Network (http://www.lavoroetico.org/lang/ENG).
Thanks to this agreement with C.I.S.E., which has been accredited by SAI for the certification of corporate social accountability systems to SA8000 standard, ICEA is entitled to carry out specific inspections enabling the operators under its inspection scheme to obtain also this kind of certificate, which will display C.I.S.E. mark alongside ICEA’s.
In addition, membership of Ethical Work Network enables ICEA to organize courses for SA8000 Auditors and Consultants, recognized by SAI, which will allow ICEA staff and concerned operators to take advantage of this opportunity with significant cost reductions.
Ethical Work Network is the main reference in Italy for the certification of corporate social responsibility, for a number of reasons:
· it ensures very high expertise and professionalism in all commodity sectors, through partnership with several certification bodies;
· it develops awareness-building initiatives aimed at potential stakeholders, in cooperation with the Chambers of Commerce network;
· it is in a position to activate worldwide institutional data banks, through the network of Italian Chambers of Commerce in 39 countries;
· through C.I.S.E., it makes updated methodologies and tools available to bodies, enterprises, consultants, NGOs and consumers, thus favouring the dialogue between the parties and making the economic system more transparent and reliable.
