ICEA is among the certification bodies that have been accreditated by the government of the USA and Japan to certify food stuffs to be exported to their countries.
The ICEA Export Sector deals with activities related to organic agrifood marketing in non-EU countries and in EU countries which have specific requirements in addition to the general ones laid down in Community Regulations. In particular, having obtained accreditation by the Ministries of Agriculture of the USA and Japan, ICEA can offer valid and recognized certifications to any Italian and non-Italian operators wishing to export products to these countries. Such certifications are:
JAS (Japanese Agricultural Standard) , for the Japan;
COR (Canada Organic) , for Canada.
ICEA is also authorized to inspect for compliance to Biosuisse standards the operators who export products to the Swiss market. In the EU area, some countries require specific marks in addition to the certification pursuant to Regulation (EC) No. 834/07. For example, the mark Naturland may be required in Germany and the mark Soil Association in the UK. Thanks to specific agreements with these two European certification bodies, ICEA can offer operators the possibility to use these marks.
