GLOBALG.A.P. is a private sector body that sets voluntary Standards for the certification of production processes of agricultural products (including aquaculture) around the globe. The basis is an equal partnership of agricultural producers and retailers who wish to establish certification Standards and Good Agricultural Procedures (G.A.P.)

Since March 1st the 3.1. version of the General Regulations is in force.
Globalgap certification offers two possibilities:
1st. possibility: An organic farmer requires certification
2nd. possibility : A producers’ association requires certification
The second possibility establishes that farmers interested in this kind of certification comply with a Quality system.
Icea is Globalgap accredited in the field of Crop and under category fruit and vegetables listed in attached 2 for the General Regulation Part 1.
Certification procedures:

Filling out of a questionnaire to obtain the cost estimation

Sending of a certification contract

Evaluation of the documents sent by the operator

Farm inspection carried out by ICEA

Issuing of the certificate
The questionnaire to be filled out to obtain the price list shall be sent to Icea ( fax 051/232011 email quality@icea.info) for:
- First Application for Global Gap certification
- Application for the yearly Renewal of Global Gap certification
