Eurepgap Standard defines Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) in the production of fruit and vegetables.

Key requirements
The protocol plans the management of requirements concerning:
• Traceability;
• Environmental aspects
• Product
• Health and safety of the workers and their working conditions
• Elements concerning the company management
Thereto can adhere the single farm or cooperatives or associations of farms.

Certification process
The firms controlled by ICEA for organic productions can apply for the CSQA certification process concerning EurepGap standard, contacting directly ICEA’s Operative Structures. The process requires:
1. formulation of an economic proposal
2. signing a certification contract
3. evaluation of the documentation sent by the Applicant and assignment of the Eurepgap registration number
4. evaluation visit to the Firm from experts of that specific sector
5. issuing of the conformity certificate by CSQA.

Accreditations
CSQA is recognized by Eurep and accredited by Sincert for the certification according to the Eurepgap standard

The Eurepgap product certification represents a tool of competitive advantage, first of all in Bussiness to Bussiness relations.
Nowadays there are more and more organic operators that produce fruit and vegetables interested in applying of the Eurepgap standard. The organic fruits and vegetables production chains, in fact, are more and more integrated with the “large scale retailers” and the international retailers, that ask also for the organic productions additional guarantees compared with those provided for the European organic rules.
